SanJuanJournal.com will post election stories, including results and the impact of the vote in each race, after the polls close Tuesday.

The general election is Tuesday. Polls close at 8 p.m. On the ballot are state and local measures, as well as 44 local offices.

About 11,535 people are registered to vote in San Juan County, Elections Supervisor Doris Schaller said. She recommends that voters get their ballots postmarked before the post offices close Tuesday at 3 p.m.

Ballots can also be dropped off by Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Lopez Island Fire Station, Orcas Senior Center, and in front of the county courthouse on Second Street in Friday Harbor.
