Vote-counting equipment testing on Oct. 6, 11 a.m.

Logic and Accuracy Tests for vote-counting equipment which will be used to tally mail-in ballots for the Nov. 3 General Election are scheduled for Oct. 6.
The tests will take place at 11 a.m. in the Elections Office, 55 Second St., Suite A, Friday Harbor. All interested members of the public are invited to observe.
A representative of the Secretary of State’s Election Division will be present for the test. The test will be performed to ensure that tabulation hardware and software equipment are compliant with Washington state rules and will accurately count the votes.
