The Veterans of Foreign Wars PAC has endorsed U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen, D-Everett, for a sixth term in the U.S. House of Representatives.
“The Second District is home to over 75,000 veterans. I am honored that the brave men and women who fought to protect our country are confident in my ability to serve the veterans in Northwest Washington,” Larsen said in a press release.
Larsen is one of two candidates for the 2nd District seat in Congress on Nov. 2. The other is Snohomish County Councilman John Koster, Republican.
Larsen said he has made it a priority in Congress to bring health care closer to veterans in Northwest Washington. He worked to develop a new permanent clinic in Mount Vernon that will bring veterans’ health care close to home. He also worked for increased funding for veterans health care and additional funding for Vietnam War veterans suffering from Agent Orange.
The National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare has also endorsed Larsen for reelection.
