Join sheriff candidate Brent Johnson for some barbecue and conversation on Oct. 9, 1-3 p.m., at the American Legion, 793 Crescent Beach Drive, Eastsound.

"Brent looks forward to meeting with you to share his vision for the sheriff's office and our community," the campaign wrote in an invitation. "Bring friends and neighbors along with questions and concerns."
