CenturyLink reminds customers of April 12, 13’s service disruption

Submitted by CenturyLink

On Thursday, April 12 at 9 p.m., CenturyLink will be relocating a critical section of fiber optic cable that serves the San Juan Islands. This work is due to the Washington State Department of Transportation’s State Route 20, or Sharpes Corner, road improvement project.

As a result, CenturyLink High Speed Internet customers in the San Juan Islands will experience a disruption in service. Landline services, including residential, business, 911 and E911, will remain available during the road improvement project. There may be limited impact to cell phone services. The work is scheduled to be completed by 6 a.m. on Friday, April 13.
