I am so thankful to live in a community that takes care of its own.

I would like to thank the oncology staff at PIMC for their professionalism, caring and laughter. For Soroptimist International of Friday Harbor for providing the ferry ticket for my endless drives to Bellingham for radiation treatments.

To Vicky Thalacker and all of the San Juan Eagles, Dennis, Jim, John and Carlo for the fantastic flights which also made this process easier, less stressful and fun.

And finally to my family, friends and neighbors who were always there with help and moral support.

Thank you all for making this cancer journey an uphill walk instead of an insurmountable climb.
