An increase in ferry fares is the top story in this week's Journal of the San Juan Islands, available now on newsstands and in subscribers' mail Wednesday.

This week's Journal has 40 pages of news, Opinion, Business, Sports, A&E, PNW Marketplace, At Your Service Professional Directory, Public Notices, and Project Home magazine.

(Editor's note: Because of a proofreading oversight during the late deadline rush Monday, text is missing from two stories in this week's edition. You can read "Cowell wins Bellingham Amateur" (page 13) and "San Juan Island School District takes over Experience Food Project" (page 15) on SanJuanJournal.com. The stories will be republished in their entirety in the Sept. 23 Journal. The Journal apologizes for the goofs.)
