The U.S. Coast Guard and Washington State Patrol responded to the report of a possible threat against a state ferry scheduled to depart Bremerton today, the Coast Guard reported.

State Patrol completed a satisfactory security sweep of the vessel this afternoon. As a result, the Coast Guard authorized the vessel's departure. All ferry routes returned to their normal schedules.

The Coast Guard worked closely with Washington State Ferries and State Patrol to ensure passenger safety and restore service, the Coast Guard reported.

The Coast Guard has not received any additional reports of threats or suspicious activity, and there have been no reported injuries.
