OPALCO seeks to fill vacancy on board of directors

Interested in serving on the Orcas Power & Light Board of Directors?

The OPALCO board is seeking to fill a vacancy for the co-op District 4 area, Shaw, Crane, Canoe and Bell islands, following the resignation of John Bogert. The term of the vacant position expired at the co-op's annual meeting in 2016.

Any co-op member residing in the District 4 with interest in serving on the board should submit a cover letter and brief resume to: Chris Thomerson, president, board of directors, 183 Mt. Baker Road, Eastsound, WA, 98245, or via email to,, with "Director Candidate" in the subject line.
