Dump truck topples under lopsided load

February 3, 2012 · 2:40 PM

A shifting and weighty load is being blamed for a delivery mishap in which a dump truck carrying so-called "beauty bark" toppled over in the 1000 block of Orcas Road shortly before 1 p.m.

Fire fighters responded to the scene and assisted in righting the disabled truck and getting it back on the road with the help of workers from two Orcas towing companies. The driver of the dump truck, which belongs to San Juan Sanitation, escaped the mishap without injury.
