On July 27, the San Juan County elections office will mail ballots for the August 16 primary election. The ballot will include a levy measure for the San Juan Island Library District and a “winnow” race for a Port of Lopez commissioner position. Ballots will be mailed to voters on Lopez Island and San Juan Island.

Ballots sent by mail must have be postmarked by Election Day. Ballots can also be deposited at the ballot drop boxes at the Lopez Island Fire Station, the San Juan County Courthouse or the Elections Office in Friday Harbor.

Logic and Accuracy Tests will be used to tally absentee ballots for the primary and will take place at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 21, at the elections office located at 55 Second Street, Suite A, in Friday Harbor.
