A minor earthquake this morning near Friday Harbor was felt by some on Whidbey Island.
The 3.2 magnitude earthquake hit at 8:36 a.m. Feb. 8, and occurred five miles northwest of Friday Harbor, according to seismic experts at the University of Washington's Department of Earth and Space Sciences.
The quake had a depth of approximately 32 miles.
Keith Ross, the information technology director for Sound Publishing, felt the quake at his office next to Ebey's Prairie in Coupeville.
"I knew right away it was an earthquake," Ross said.
"It was just a short 2-, 3-second rolling. About three rolls and it was done," he said.
