Lytton named to Agriculture and Natural Resources, Capital Budget, Education committees

Kristine Lytton, who takes office Jan. 10 as a 40th District representative in the state House, has been selected as vice chairwoman of the House Education (K-12) Committee.
She will also serve on the Capital Budget Committee and the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee.
“I am honored to receive the recognition of my fellow House Democrats in a leadership role in Education,” Lytton said in a press release. “Although this will be a challenging session, I hope to bring my past experience and fresh ideas to each of my committee assignments."
She added, “I look forward to the opportunity to work with my fellow legislators and especially the delegation from the 40th District for the people of the district and the state.”
Also representing the 40th District in the House is Jeff Morris, D-Mount Vernon, who is speaker pro tem. Representing the 40th District in the Senate is Kevin Ranker, D-Anacortes.
The Legislative Session begins on Jan. 10.
