Making desserts and Thanksgiving dinner just got easier ... thanks to Friday Harbor Girl Scouts
November 30, 2010 · Updated 11:13 AM
Never mind the cookies. These Girl Scouts have pies for sale.
Not just any kind of pies, but two types that any Thanksgiving Day dinner host or hostess would be remiss to be without. Pumpkin and pecan to be specific.
Local Girl Scouts will be offering homemade pecan and pumpkin pies for sale Nov. 24 at MarketPlace, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Pies can be purchased and then provided to the Community Thanksgiving Dinner at the Friday Harbor Grange Hall, as a donation. Donated pies will be hand-delivered by the Girl Scout troop members themselves.
Pies can also be pre-ordered and then picked up at the Marketplace as well. But time is running short.
For information, contact troop leaders Wendy Wood, 370-5462, or Jill Urbach, 378-5309.
