It appears to me that rather than determining which healthcare services should be available, the commissioners are allowing PeaceHealth to tell us what services PeaceHealth (and the Catholic Bishops) are willing to provide. Shouldn’t the board be telling PeaceHealth what services they need to provide in order to receive taxpayer funds?

John was a loving husband, dad and cook. He loved thinking up creative “to do” ideas, making beautiful things out of nature. He loved skiing, Tuesday night poker, Frisbee golf, music, music, music, good vegetarian food, concerts, and music festivals. Did we mention music and more music!

The prescribed burns, slated to begin Sept. 11, are expected to help restore habitat for two rare prairie species: the island marble butterfly, a federal species of concern; and golden paintbrush, also a threatened species. The National Parks Service successfully cultivated golden paintbrush last winter.
