Benefit fund-raiser May 2 for family of Robert Sheldon 'Bob' Dixon

A benefit fund-raiser is scheduled for May 2, 1-4 p.m., at American Legion Post 163 for the family of Bob and Carmen Dixon, to defray expenses caused by Bob's cardiac arrest and death.
There will be a spaghetti feed, with Caesar salad and garlic bread, as well as a silent auction. Donations will be accepted. For more information, call Abe, 298-2229.
Robert "Bob" Sheldon Dixon died peacefully on April 12, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital after complications from a cardiac arrest.
He was born in Seattle, Wash., on March 2, 1954. He graduated from Lake Washington High School in 1972. He moved to Friday Harbor in 1977 and was a meat cutter for more than 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Carmen; and children, Lacey and Tyler.
The family has planned a celebration of his life on Sunday, April 25, noon to 3 p.m., at 635 Spring St. (Frontier Lumber building).
