Alex H. McRea of Friday Harbor died before midnight June 7, 2009.

He was 92.

There will be a memorial service June 19, 1:30 p.m., in Friday Harbor Presbyterian Church, followed by private family burial.

A full obituary will appear in the June 17 Journal.

He and his wife, Margaret, were featured in the Feb. 17 story, "Love & marriage: Margaret and Alex McRea talk about what it takes to make 66 years of wonderful memories".
