League offers provocative healthcare film at November meeting
November 7, 2012 · Updated 8:40 AM
The League of Women Voters of the San Juans will present the film, “The Healthcare Movie”, Monday, Nov. 12, as part of its monthly membership meeting. The meeting is at the San Juan Island Library, noon to 2 p.m. A discussion will follow the film.
Beginning with essentially the same goals, the healthcare systems in the U.S. and Canada evolved into two completely different entities. The film tells the story of how that happened over time. For those interested in healthcare reform in the U.S., the League believes the documentary is an essential component for your research.
