July 17, 2012 · 3:24 PM
Have you tried to figure how state and federal taxes apply to one's estate after their death? It can be confusing.
Trying to understand the role of a personal representative or executor of an estate can be equally perplexing for many as well.
But have no fear, CPA Don Cooper will be here.
Cooper will attempt to demystify the mysteries surrounding estate taxes and also discuss what's expected of executors and personal representatives as part of a free seminar Thursday, July 19, at the Mullis Community Senior Center. Entitled, "Estates and Taxes", the seminar begins at 2:30 p.m. and is sponsored by the senior center advisory committee, and is open to all.
