Evelena LeCocq Hunter: July 11, 1926 — Nov. 10, 2011  Rev. Charles William Hunter: May 6, 1927 — Nov. 21, 2011

Eva and Chuck passed away in Vancouver, Wash.

Chuck served as an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Olympia and as an interim minister.

He was the rector of St. David’s Episcopal Church in Friday Harbor from 1991 to 1994.

Eva was a leader in the Pacific Northwest as an advocate for the rights of women and children, especially the developmentally disabled.

They will be loved and remembered fondly for the impact they had on so many, particularly their family.

They are survived by their children, John (Pam), Margaret Sundseth (Mark), James (Diane) and Michael Hunter-Berstein (Gabriel); seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service for both will be held on Dec. 6 at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Washougal at 1 p.m.

A committal service and interment of ashes will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Bellingham, Wash., on Dec. 29, at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to The Episcopal Relief and Development Fund, NARAL or the Whatcom County YWCA.
