Valentines Day serenade made easy; Island Chordsmen deliver
February 8, 2011 · Updated 6:05 PM
For those with romance in the soul and music on the mind, now is the perfect time to join the Island Chordsmen Plus, San Juan Island’s very own barbershop choir.
“This is the perfect time to join,” said Don Leff, chair of the membership committee. “We’re gearing up for Valentine’s Day. We’ll go anywhere on the island to perform singing valentines—everyone has a great time.”
What better way to show your sweetheart that you care than with a song, in six-part harmony — barbershop choir style?
Holly Harbers, music chair, adds, “We’ve sung to people at the Marketplace, in their office, at home, wherever they’re supposed to be at the scheduled time.”
To order a singing valentine call Bonnie Terman at 378-5357.
