Washington State Ferries adds extra sailings for Fourth of July

The next few weeks, including the Independence Day holiday, will be busy for Washington State Ferries and travelers are encouraged to plan ahead if sailing through Monday, July 9. Remember, it is against the law to set off or carry fireworks on the ferry.

To reduce or eliminate wait times, customers should consider walking on the ferry. Passenger capacity is far greater than vehicle capacity on all WSF ferries.

The following sailings are being added to accommodate increased traffic:

Monday, July 2

  • 8:50 p.m. Anacortes to Orcas Island and Friday Harbor

Tuesday, July 3

  • 6:45 p.m. Anacortes to Lopez Island
  • 7:35 p.m. Lopez Island to Anacortes
  • 9 p.m., 10 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. Clinton to Mukilteo
  • 9:30 p.m., 10:30 p.m. and 2 a.m. Mukilteo to Clinton

Wednesday, July 4

  • 9 p.m. Clinton to Mukilteo
  • 9:30 p.m. Mukilteo to Clinton
  • 11:25 p.m. Vashon to Fauntleroy

Thursday, July 5

  • 10:10 p.m. Friday Harbor to Anacortes
  • 10:30 p.m. Orcas Island to Anacortes
