The Arcora Foundation’s SmileMobile, a brightly painted 39-foot dental clinic on wheels, is hard to miss when it rolls into Friday Harbor the week of Nov. 12–15 at the Mullis Community Senior Center, 589 Nash St.

The SmileMobile is staffed by a dentist, clinic manager, dental assistant and local volunteer dentists. The staff will provide oral health education; dental examinations; sealants; fillings; and simple extractions to babies up through high school age and pregnant and postpartum women with Apple Health or are uninsured. The SmileMobile is operated by the nonprofit Arcora Foundation in partnership with Seattle Children’s Hospital. Arcora Foundation is funded by the nonprofit Delta Dental of Washington, the state’s largest dental benefits company.

The SmileMobile travels the state year-round providing services ranging from exams and preventive care to fillings and minor oral surgery, and has examined and treated more than 45,000 patients in communities throughout Washington.
