Screen Friday Harbor Film Festival movie on Jan. 15

Submitted by the Friday Harbor Film Festival

The Friday Harbor Film Festival’s “Best of Fest” winter series begins with a screening of the movie “Given” at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the San Juan Island Grange.

It’s time again for the local crowd to see all the films they missed during the film festival, every first and third Tuesday at the grange. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

The film “Given” was a Friday Harbor Film Festival big hit, especially with families. The movie is about a young boy from Kaui and his family traveling around the world looking for the perfect wave. The story is told through a 6-year-old’s notes. It’ll be great for wintery times on the island.
