New teachers join Saint David’s Day School

Two teachers will join Saint David’s Day School for the 2018-19 school year. Danielle Niichel is a child psychology graduate of Western Washington University and will be the lead classroom teacher for the coming year. Alana Huntemer comes from the early childhood education program at MiraCosta College in Oceanside, California and will serve as an assistant teacher. The ladies join a highly experienced teaching staff that includes the head of the school Margaret Barker and assistant teacher Kim Erickson.

Saint David’s Day School is a four-hour preschool for children ages 3 and 4 that offers both indoor and outdoor activities, providing opportunities for children to play, create, discover, explore and develop important social skills In addition to regular daily specials of yoga, cooking and music, staff will coordinate with the Family Resource Center, this year, on a program to promote the development of empathy in children.
