‘Mamma Mia!’ finally opens at SJCT

Submitted by San Juan Community Theatre.

San Juan Community Theatre’s long-awaited musical production Mamma Mia! opens on Nov. 5 and runs through Nov. 21. “Mamma Mia!” was originally scheduled to premiere in May 2020 and has been delayed more than once due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The last musical production at San Juan Community Theatre was “The Drowsy Chaperone” in May 2019, making the absence of a musical production at SJCT over two years long.

SJCT’s musical return will make you laugh and cry with “Mamma Mia!,” an enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship featuring iconic ’70s pop songs. Opening night is Friday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m. and shows will run Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. in addition to Sundays at 2 p.m. through closing night on Sunday, Nov. 21. Tickets are $24 for adults, $13 for students, and $5 student rush. Thursdays are select pay-what-you-can performances.
