Supporters of San Juan Island’s Ihiya Biological Reserve are having an autumn fundraiser party from 5-8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 28 at Gallery Mystes Rising at 100 Front St., Suite 28 in Friday Harbor. There will be live music, art, a silent auction, and wild-plant inspired food and beverages.

Ihiya is a new 33-acre nature preserve that is open to the public. At the event, attendees can learn about how to support and become involved in the unfolding vision which includes a wildlife sanctuary, walking paths, citizen science, environmental education, herbalism and more.
