Island Stage Left is celebrating Valentine’s Day by offering desserts, wine, music, soft lights and words of love on Feb. 14 at the Brickworks.

Tickets have sold out for the Feb. 14 show, but additional performances of the music, poetry and readings will be at Cynthia’s Bistro on Feb. 16 and 17. A delicious Valentine-themed dinner and a glass of champagne will be followed by words of love and live music from Stage Left. Seating is limited. The dinner and champagne are $50 per person. State Left will appreciate donations in their iconic gold bucket.

Call Cynthia’s Bistro at 360-317-7178 or email cynthiasofcourse@gmail.com for more details and to book a table.

Director Helen Machin-Smith says the evening is “designed to make you smile, touch your heart and encourage you to leave the outside world behind for a while.”

Now in its 20th year, Island Stage Left knows how to create an atmosphere. The Valentine’s performance features actor and musician Jonathan Shue (who appeared in Island Stage Left’s production of “Red”) adding love songs to a selection of poetry and readings on all kinds of love by Dan Mayes and Helen Machin-Smith. “Expect to laugh, ponder, sigh and smile,” says Machin-Smith.

Island Stage Left will be bringing their iconic Gold Bucket with a relative quote for the evening.
