Once again, San Juan Island National Historical Park will hold its Holiday Social from noon to 2 p.m., Dec. 10, at the English Camp barracks.

All park friends, volunteers and the public are invited to gather to celebrate the holiday season and coming new year.

Please bring some of your favorite cookies or holiday sweets to share. Hot cider will be served. Remember to dress warmly! The English Camp visitor center is currently closed for the season. Staffing shortages and mandatory furloughs will force the park to temporarily close the American Camp visitor center for about six and one half weeks, from Dec. 17 through Feb. 1.

However, the park grounds at both the American Camp and English Camp units will be open, daily, from dawn to 11 p.m.
