Published in the March 15 issue of the Journal is a letter headlined “Paper too left.”

The author excoriates The Journal, and offends its readers, with an incomprehensible rant about a phantom issue we are not privileged to be informed of.

What is very clear however is the target of this loose cannon: Thar be leftists in these islands and The Journal is pandering to the blaggards.

In the view of Mr. Vanderwal, “the only print paper on San Juan Island is now exclusively an organ of the left,” it has “abandoned all pretext of objectivity “it is now “self-appointed to tell us all how to think and actively encourage resistance to any kind of opposing viewpoint.” Come to think of it, this whole brouhaha sounds like a Trump tweet.
