Lindstrum support | Letters

Anna Lisa Lindstrum has my enthusiastic support for commissioner of our hospital district, position 2. She has the knowledge, commitment, and energy to ably fill the position of retiring commissioner Barbara Sharp, and ensure that there are three strong voices for reproductive rights and death with dignity on the board. Planned Parenthood Votes (the political arm of Planned Parenthood) had endorsed Anna Lisa. If these issues matter to you, as they do to me, please take the time to vote for Anna Lisa.

I’ve recently taken an interest in the race for San Juan County Public Hospital District 1 and am writing in support of Anna Lisa Lindstrom.

Both candidates appear to be qualified. But Anna Lisa stands out with her vision and leadership. After reviewing both the voter’s pamphlet as well as the recent Q&A published in the San Juan Journal, I know where Anna Lisa stands on issues that matter to me. Moreover, in hearing Anna Lisa speak of the issues facing the district, her passion for women’s health, reproductive rights and skilled nursing shows through. Topping it all off, at a recent gathering, I appreciated her breadth of knowledge about the wide range of matters facing the SJC PHD1 board.

Anna Lisa is driven by the courage of her convictions. I encourage everyone to consider this race carefully as the matters it will face in the next couple of years affect all of us: a contract with Planned Parenthood, holding Emergency Medical Services and Peace Island Medical Center’s feet to the fire, and the closing of the Life Care Center. There are many more and I have confidence that Anna Lisa is the right person for this job.
