This has nothing to do with football, but I’m calling the play and handing you the ball. We need yardage and we need a touchdown! Actually, we need your vote!

I am asking for your vote for my wife, Jenny. She is running for San Juan County Public Hospital Commissioner, position 3.

There are three commissioner positions open this election time, with two candidates running for each position. This is a non-partisan election so you can feel free to vote for the three individuals you feel will best represent this Island community. Jenny has no personal agenda and no axe to grind with the hospital.

She has no vendetta against PeaceHealth as a Catholic healthcare ministry. She has no political aspiration. She simply wants to work for you to assist the EMS and Peace Island Medical Center to continue their path toward excellence in serving you better.

There is a very personal aspect. Jenny has a passion to be of service to the EMS because our EMT’s saved our son’s life in February 2012, and our hospital has cared compassionately for several friends. You may say that I am biased in my opinion, but I am the only one who truly knows Jenny’s heart and soul.

She will always do “what’s” right and not get all wrapped up in “who’s” right. You can count on Jenny’s integrity and trust her tireless effort to serve this community. If you are not registered to vote please register in the small building across the street from the courthouse. The ballots will be mailed out on Oct. 13.

All voters on San Juan Island and the smaller outer islands are eligible to vote. I want your vote for Jenny. This campaign has been a lot of work and we are pouring our hearts into it, just like we have always done for football.
