From boogie and blues to Broadway hits, to original songs from the islands’ own, San Juan Community Theatre’s Night Music Summer Concert Series kicks off season No. 3 with five evenings of island-style musical entertainment, beginning July 10, featuring David Bayley’s “Boogie, Blues and Beyond,” and Laura Lee Chorba’s “Acoustic Heart & Soul Chic-Rock.”

Since its premier in 2012, the Thursday night music series has played to a sold-out audience each and every show.Chorba

Now, that’s an exceptional track record, and each show takes place in the theatre’s intimate, cozy and acoustically superb Gubelman Theatre, adjoining the Steel Memorial Garden.

Music begins at 7:30 p.m., preceded by a social hour in the garden, starting at 7 p.m. Chocolate desserts, wine and beer are available for purchase. Admission is $12, seating, festival format, is limited.

Here’s who’s in store:

July 10: David Bayley, Boogie, Blues and Beyond; Laura Lee Chorba, Acoustic Heart & Soul Chic-Rock

July 17: Carol Hooper, Broadway Melodies

July 24: Daniel Finn, Singin’ his own Songs; Ian Boulton, Acoustic Ballads

July 31: Archipelago: Sasha Von Dassow, Traci Wilson, Hanneke Klein-Robbenhaar, Midsummer Night’s Musical Potpourri, with special guest, Sue Collado

August 7: Laura Lee Chorba, Daniel Finn, Keith Busha and Susan Williams, Times are a Changin’ (musical interpretations of Dylan)
