Mawungira Enharira is an award-winning group from Zimbabwe, highly skilled as musicians and performers in singing, dance, drums, hosho and mbira. They are master mbira players and are often described as an mbira orchestra. Three days before they depart for their native Zimbabwe after a several months long tour through North America, they'll play at the Grange Hall Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Organizers are charging for entry (tickets are $12.00)and they will sell CD’s and teeshirts, in a sense this is a fundraiser so that they can take back to Zimbabwe as much as possible of their earnings in order to support families and orphaned children in Zimbabwe as the situation is so dire there.

The concert will open with an hour of marimba music by local marimba musicians Musasa and Friends.

Mawungira was sponsored along with other Zimbabwean musicians to come to the U.S.A. to perform and teach at the annual Zimbabwean Festival. These musicians also teach and perform before and after the festival before returning home to Zimbabwe.
