— Performing Arts Society presents Charles Gounod’s “Faust,” with Puget Sound Concert Opera, 2 p.m., Friday Harbor Presbyterian Church. Based on the Goethe classic, this tale of good and evil brims with Gounod’s unforgettable melodies and opera’s favorite villain. Suggested donation: $10.

Sunday, June 1

— Guided nature walk with San Juan Island bird expert Barbara Jensen, 7:30 a.m., at American Camp. The walk is free; participants meet in the Visitor Center parking lot. Birders are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes and bring sun block. Disabled persons should contact the American Camp Visitor Center for trail access information. Jensen is a former national park ranger and naturalist. This is her seventh season providing bird walks for the park.
