It’s The Tortoise VERSUS The Hare this year.

Missoula Children’s Theatre’s annual visit to Friday Harbor features a new version of the classic tale, with a healthy dose of humor, plot twists and music.

Missoula Children’s Theatre has toured the country for 39 years, bringing teams of actors and directors to more than 1,200 communities each year.

Children grades 1-12  may audition for the production on Monday, June 25 at 9 a.m. at San Juan Community Theatre. Up to 60 children will be cast in the play, which comes with its own costumes, props, sets and director.

Children need not prepare for auditions. Immediately following the audition and casting, the first rehearsal, followed by rehearsals that Tuesday-Friday.

The play will be presented at the Theatre on Saturday, June 30, at 3 p.m. and at 7 p.m., at the theatre

Tickets for the performances: $19 adults, $9 student reserved, $5 student RUSH, available one hour before each performance.
