Annual Tree Lighting | Multi media

On Friday, Dec. 2, islanders and visitors gathered at Memorial Park for the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Members of the community dressed as Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus, Buddy the Elf and other holiday characters passed out candy canes on Spring Street. The event was filled with caroling and the the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Decorating Contest winners were announced.

Acanthus Antiques took first place for the "small exterior" award, Islands group Sotheys placed first for "small exterior, Kinds' Market won "large exterior," Rumor Mill won "large interior" and Earthbox won best in show.
