The Pumpkin Party, Contest, and Open House is on Oct. 22, Grange Hall, 152 First St.

n 10 a.m. - 11 a.m., bring your decorated or carved pumpkins or gourds for display.

n 11 a.m., Rob Walters pumpkin carving demonstration.

n 11 - 11:30 a.m., jack-o’-lantern judging by the Journal’s Editor Scott Rasmussen and Friday Harbor’s Mayor Carrie Lacher.

n 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m, Grange Open House and pumpkin viewing, hot dogs, cider, pop corn and cookies,

n 1 - 2 p.m., pick up pumpkins.
