Creative fundraising with Elephant Revival
July 8, 2011 · 8:45 AM
Washington State Parks recently lost all revenue for the state’s general funding, which means each park now is working on generating their own revenue.
Lime Kiln State Park is getting creative with their fundraising efforts by hosting a concert by Elephant Revival.
The concert doors open at 6 p.m. and music begins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19 at 20 Crow Valley Lane.
Elephant Revival is a neo-acoustic transcendental folk quintet from Nederland, Colo. In one show, the quintet can be heard delving into original folk pieces mixed with traditional style ballads, Scottish and Celtic fiddle tunes, psychedelic country, indie rock, powerful reggae grooves, jazz standards and an occasional hip-hop beat amongst other styles.
Proceeds benefit the education and interpretive programs at Lime Kiln. Tickets are $15 in advance for www.elephantrevival.com. You can also purchase tickets for $20 at the door. Kids under 10 are free.
