Hear Lyons sing his greatest hits and newest songs at the San Juan Island Library on Friday, June 24 at 7 p.m. to kick off the summer events at the library.

The library is sponsoring this musical evening as part of its Summer Reading Program. The theme for the program this summer is One World, Many Stories.

The Friends of the Library sponsors a program where children, teens and adults earn prizes for summer reading.

Children can visit the library to pick up treats.

Teens have a program tailored to their unique needs.

Adults can  enter their name in the weekly drawing for free books from the Treasure Cove store.

Everyone can enjoy Lyons and his music.

The performer’s song “Cows With Guns” was a global radio and web hit, number one for the year on Dr. Demento, number two on the Australian Country charts, and number one in Seattle, and spent six months in the Irish Top 40.

He has also written two books, “Cows With Guns” and “The Tree.”
