Islanders join in international protest against offshore oil drilling Saturday

On Saturday, islanders will participate in an international protest against offshore oil drilling.

Participants in “Hands Across the Sand” will meet and join hands as a sign of solidarity against offshore oil drilling. Local participants will meet at Crescent Beach on Orcas Island (andrew.leo.hughes@gmail.com or www.facebook.com/andrew.leo.hugheses) and Fourth of July Beach on San Juan (JaneAnneJ@mac.com or 378-8932).
