The Friday Harbor Town Council will have two special meetings — one today and one on Tuesday.

Both meetings are open to the public.

Today's meeting begins at noon in the Town Council Chambers in Town Hall. The council will hear a presentation by URS Corporation regarding structural stability analysis of the Trout Lake Dam.

Tuesday, the Town Council will meet jointly with the San Juan County Council at noon in the county Legislative Building. The councils will discuss the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association's proposed protections for the Southern Resident killer whales, the town's recently approved ban on the use of polystyrene food service containers in the town limits, and issues related to Washington State Ferries.
