Island a la Carte coupon book: $2,000 in savings for $29.95
July 10, 2009 · 4:29 PM
Island a la Carte, the new local coupon book created by Mullis Community Senior Center, contains — by Virginia Otto's estimate — about $2,000 worth of local savings.
Here's the kicker: The book costs $29.95. And proceeds help support Mullis Center.
The book features discounts and specials at over 140 merchants on San Juan Island. It is divided into sections: food, lodging, services, retail, beauty, and things to do. It sells for $29.95, with proceeds going to Mullis Center.
The book is available at Island Wools, the Souvenir Store, and Mullis Center.
Otto, who developed the book, said the book is for everyone on the island, not just seniors. “This is a win-win situation for everyone," she said. "The businesses get customers and the customers get discounts. And the sale of the book will benefit the Mullis Center.”
