Charles A. Hudson, “Charlie,” was born in Oklahoma on Sept. 15, 1967. Most of his adventures were in the Seattle area.

Charlie was an artist. He painted and played guitar, and formerly refinished antique furniture. He moved to Lopez Island, Wash., in May 2002 and fell in love with the island and the people. He said this was the most beautiful place he had ever been.

Charlie died at home, peacefully, on June 27, 2009. Charlie will be deeply missed and loved by all.

He is survived by his wife, Shellene; son, Charlie; daughter, Rashauna; mother, Anna; nine grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Burial will be private at Lopez Cemetery. Memorial contributions are preferred to Lopez Island Hospice & Home Support, P.O. Box 747, Lopez, WA. 98262; or Lopez Island Medical Clinic, 103 Washburn Place, Lopez, WA. 98262.
