Passages: Celebration of Barbara Graves' life Oct. 12 at Cattle Pass

To all friends of Barbara Graves: Join in a celebration of her life Sunday, Oct. 12, 2 p.m., at Cattle Pass, at the old Coast Guard building. Bring memories of Barbara to share.
If weather is inclement, the celebration will move inside.
Barbara passed away Aug. 21 at Islands Convalescent Center after a long illness. She was 62.
She was born Oct. 4, 1945 in Grand Rapids, Mich. She graduated from Michigan State University and owned Design Design, an interior design firm. She specialized in refurbishing boutique hotels. She lived in Rome, San Francisco and Friday Harbor. She retired to Friday Harbor in 1997.
She had a great passion for animals and always had two cats, two dogs and some birds, her sister said. Memorial contributions are preferred to the Animal Protection Society, P.O. Box 1355, Friday Harbor 98250.
She is survived by her sister, Susan VanKuiken of San Francisco; brother, Stephan Graves of Michigan; Fritz Graves of Colorado; James Graves of Michigan; half-sister, Myssi, of Colorado; several stepsiblings; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
