Marilyn Patterson Koral

Aug. 24, 1930 – Aug. 1, 2008

Marilyn Koral was born in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of C.V. and Dorothy W. Patterson, and was a former resident of Kalamazoo, Mich.

The family moved to Northport, Mich., in 1965 to own and operate a marine business for the next 11 years. In 1976, Marilyn became a resident of Orcas Island, Wash.

She is survived by her sister, Patricia Patterson of Philadelphia, Pa.; her five children, Anne Stepp of Bath, N.C., Dorothy Rothfus of Ronald, Wash., John Koral of Rochester, Mich., Bill Koral of Orcas Island, Wash., and Jim Koral of Leopold, Australia; and nine grandchildren.

Marilyn will always be remembered as a wonderful mother. Remembrances may be made to the Orcas Island Animal Protection Society or to Orcas Island EMT.
