Lindsey Youngquist, 2007 graduate of Friday Harbor High School, was chosen along with 50 other college students to fly to Boston, Mass., to participate in Oxfam America’s CHANGE Initiative, the last week of July.

Oxfam is an international relief organization that works to create lasting solutions to hunger, poverty and injustice. Every summer, CHANGE brings students together for a week of leadership training focused on Oxfam’s campaigns.

Youngquist will return to Seattle University this fall where she is a pre-med biology major. She will work on issues including fair trade and the effect that climate change is having on people in poor countries.
