Peggy Cantrell of Friday Harbor retrieved this photo after it had been discarded by a man who bought a wallet at the Thrift Shop.

"She retrieved it as a piece of history," said Minnie Knych, who has the photo.

"As you can see, it is a photo of three World War II soldiers. On the front is the caption 'Daddy' under the middle soldier. On the back, the names are McCauley, Lawson, Anderson. I assume 'Daddy' is Lawson in the middle. I am pretty sure these are San Juan County residents.

The American Legion and The Journal would like to reunite the photo with the men in it, or deliver it to their descendants. If you know who the men are in the photo, call Minnie Knych, 378-4662; or Richard Walker, 378-5696.
