IMA: future is now—imagine it, design it, paint it

Your mural could end up being the talk of the town.

How? By accepting San Juan Islands Museum of Art’s invitation to help decorate its new Spring Street location, former home of San Juan EMS. That’s how

For seven consecutive Saturdays, beginning July 6, IMA will host a painting party for families, individuals and community groups, welcoming all to bring a paint brush and to create a mural on a 4-foot by 8-foot piece of plywood. Supplies for the event, held in conjunction with Family Art Days, are donated by Browne Lumber and Northwest Office Supply.

Envision, “IMA-Vision of the Future” and let imagination be your guide. The extravaganza of art takes place, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 6 to Aug. 17. For info, Darlene Nixon, 317-6182.
