Employee recognition of System Administrator Steven Dubail for 20 years of service. Update by the Fire Chief Vern Long regarding the status of Engine No. 6. Resolution authorizing private use of Front Street by the Rotary Club of San Juan Island for a street dance. Resolution authorizing the mayor to award grant funding generated from the “Affordable Housing For All” surcharge to Homes for Islanders. Council discussion of re-establishing an Employee Recognition and Appreciation Program.

-- Friday Harbor Town Council, 5:30 p.m., Town Hall Council Chambers. Public hearing for a Conditional Use Permit by Chinmayo and Beth Spadafora requesting that an existing wall, owned by Elements Hotel & Spa, fronting Blair Avenue be designated for a public art mural. Presentation by Nancy DeVaux, executive director of San Juan Community Home Trust, regarding status of the proposed Buck Property affordable housing project. Resolution authorizing the mayor to execute an agreement with SCS Engineers for 2008 groundwater monitoring program services at the Friday Harbor Landfill. Resolution authorizing the mayor to execute Change Order No. 2 on the contract with Strider Construction, Inc. for the Sewer Replacement Project. Council discussion of the Water, Sewer and Stormwater Utility Rate Study.
